I'm sorry for my cliche color palette, but it just seemed fitting (Akane is a Japanese name meaning "brilliant red"). The symbol on her cheek appeared after she was captured by humans, so she doesn't know about it. It's the traditional Chines symbol for fire. Her eyes change color from bright red to dark red when she's angry or determined, and yes, the 'white part' is black. Akane tries to see the good in everyone. She believes is chasing your dreams, and lives life without looking back. She's strong of mind, and knows when to back down and make a run for it. She loves myth and mystery, and tries to stay calm and light hearted. What she wants most of all is to be free, living alongside her brother, Armin, who's whereabouts are unknown.
