Originally EJ&E 302 built in 1960. 302 would serve the EJ&E until late January 2011 when the York & Red Lion Railroad contacted EJ&E owner Canadian National looking for a engine to help switch in York PA. 302 was offered cheap and was sold to the Y&RL. The engine went to the Norfolk Southern Altoona shop where it was repainted into a special Y&RL black paint scheme. 11 is the only engine to where the paint scheme. upon arriving in York 11 was further modified with the strobe light being moved onto the cab roof. 11 has since been in service ever since switching in York PA and occasionally doing tourist work. It is not uncommon to see 11 coupled to Y&RL 9
