I was inspired by @golden_fredbear2020's voice headcanon project and decided to do my own. Realistically, they'd be unable to speak any human language and would have to communicate by meowing, but this is my AU and I'll do whatever I dang well please, thanks. Their project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/565777734/ Note: Aside from Yellowfang, Barley and Scourge, they probably all have English accents. The books are written in the UK and their dialogue makes more sense when read in an English accent. Cloudtail specifically has a cockney accent and Princess is horrified. Fireheart is Schrödinger's Irishman until further notice. Fits with the whole cat thing, doesn't it? EDIT 1: I may end up going with Option 2 simply because I’ve heard Option 1 so many times that I kinda hate it now. The reason 2 doesn’t have this problem is because I’ve lost the ability to sit through Option 1. EDIT 2: I think I’m gonna go with Option 2 solely because I now fully despise Option 1. Sorry, everyone who voted for Option 1. I will now write his dialogue accordingly and we’ll just pretend that Harry Potter Firestar never happened. Poll’s still up, though. EDIT 3: Harry Potter is dead and I killed him. You’re welcome. :)
I’m gonna do a thing where y’all can vote for Fireheart’s voice. It probably won’t influence my final decision but hey, it’s fun and you can read his dialogue in whatever voice you prefer, anyways. Option 1: 5 votes. Option 2: 3 votes. Fun Facts and Honorable Mentions: (in order) -The reason Fireheart has two separate audio clips is because I have no idea what to do with him. Canon Fireheart probably fits Harry Potter better (even though I despise Rowling) but AU Fireheart actually has a distinct personality and such a generic protagonist voice wouldn’t sound right. You know what? I’m letting y’all decide. Fight it out in the comments. -Graystripe was hard because he's so darn goofy and stupid. I was thinking about giving him the Harry Potter voice if Fireheart doesn't get it. I don't want the two to sound the same. -Ravenpaw's just a little guy. That's it. That's just what he is. A lil' guy. -The icon for Tigerclaw had a really weird facial expression so I had to fix it. I imagine that in the AU, he's less blatantly evil. That gives the reveal more of an impact. -Bluestar probably doesn’t sound all wispy and echoey when she’s alive but it could work for when she joins StarClan. -I like to think that Yellowfang has a slight Cajun accent since she’s from the swamp. Also, she and Bluestar are Fireheart’s gay moms. Fight me in real life if you disagree. -I'm gonna say what we all know to be fact: Whitestorm deserved more screen time. He's the nice teacher who puts memes in his slideshows. He deserves it. -I never really liked RavenBarley, mainly because of their age gap. If Barley were younger, I’d be fine with it but he was a grown man when Ravenpaw was a preteen. Gross. In my AU, I’m gonna portray their relationship as more of a father/son thing because Barley’s backstory is important and their age gap is icky. I know it’s a popular ship and Warriors definitely needs some gay rep but I’ll add another gay ship in, I swear. -Brightheart's scars are more pronounced in my art because it doesn't make sense for her to still be pretty and still have everyone scared of her. Plus, it makes her character arc hit harder. There's no point in finding your inner beauty if your outer beauty is still there. -Cloudtail's a better parallel to Fireheart than Scourge, change my mind. No, really, I want to see you prove me wrong. -Sandstorm's voice isn't exactly right but hey, it's the best I could do. It's got the same vibes. I don't really care about her that much but I included her because y'all would gut me like a fish if I didn't. -You don't wanna know how long it took me to find a voice for Longtail, trust me. -I was actually thinking about making Tigerclaw Scar but then I remembered William Afton existed and I immediately changed my mind. There are no mistakes, just happy accidents. -I made a joke about Scourge sounding like Jacksepticeye because his voice was described as high pitched and shrill. I don’t think it's a joke anymore-
