Inside Tip: This is my first inside tip on animating a fight scene. I will talk about the key elements of making a great fight scene in each Inside Tip. Tip 1: A Great Story: For a fight to be meaningful or impactful, you need to understand the characters who are fighting. You need to take the personalities of the characters and implant them into the fight. That will sometimes mean that the fight will be sad or funny. That is why it is sometimes good to make a fight where characters are similar. Or make one where it could be Good vs. Evil (Like this one) or something that people can relate to. You also need the characters to fight for a good reason. For example Aang the Avatar is a pacifist, So to make him fight someone like Batman. He needs a motive, like to protect his friends or because he thinks he is evil. Who knows it is all up to you. All of this in mind you can not only make a great fight scene.
