What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of AI? I’m sure you have heard of Siri, Google, And Alexa. But what are they, really? Today we discuss these questions! AI has been around since 1951! But what really is AI? Well, AI is a robot that can basically do human things. Now what are the advantages of an Al system? Well, there will be 24/7 availability,digital assistance ,daily applications, and so much more- but nothing is perfect! what are the disadvantages? Al could take over the world! …well it just means that we could be left unemployed, make humans lazy, income effect (when lower prices increase), and fake news. Continuation In Notes&Credits
So what should we do? While AI and Tech is very useful nowadays, what should we do about the problems it could cause? First of all, we should not be dependent on AI. This could make you lazy and unemployed. Obviously, this is not good for us! It’s not just bad for us because it is unproductive, it also leads to health issues such as: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, dementia and cancer. It is also a possible cause of Stress, Depression, and Anxiety.AI was made to help us do work, not to do the work FOR us! Possible Examples Are: Siri helping us with the weather, Autocorrect/Autofill while I type this paragraph, and so much more! We have Learned so much! that doesn’t mean we need to stop though. AI is great but can be harmful. It has helped us write this newspaper, do homework, and do so much more! Even today, you are probably using AI, such as autocorrect and autofill. maybe you even have Face ID or voice reconditions on your phone! AI has evolved during the years and is now very affective. AI can do a lot of things humans can’t do such as making decisions quick & accurately and also has great creative thinking.
