Despite having been discovered by SLOPN intelligence only recently, it is an extremely old country, and its history goes as far back as the later periods of the Scarfish Wars of Formation. The nation is officially a stratocratic dictatorship led by a person named "Kreinger." However, he co-rules alongside other people, such as Omnion Beta of the Omnion Hegemony and Xycoth of the Coopzian State (which is no longer in power within Coopzia proper). Underworld is more of an oligarchy than a dictatorship due to there being tons of co-leaders. The ideology of Underworld is named after Kreigner, called Kreingerism (or Kreinger Thought). It is a variant of classical fascism, and follows all its tenets, just much more zealously. ==================== >>> HISTORY: Very little is known about Underworld before its war with the Glorious Empire, but recovered information from the archives of the Holy Horizon Empire (the precursor to the precursor to the Cynopharon Empire) imply that it was, at the earliest time, around during the late Scarfish Wars of Formation. There is no evidence that Underworld participated in the aforementioned conflict, though. The existence of Underworld was announced to the SLOPN and the wider Third Dimension when they attacked and subsequently conquered the Glorious Empire. The allies of the former, mainly the Cynopharon Empire and the Confederacy of the Blue Scarf, were quick to declare war on Underworld after their blitzkrieg, starting the Countryball Galactic War. Initially, Underworld and its allies performed well in the war, taking most of the Glorious Empire's territory and even the border regions of the Cynopharon Empire. However, they eventually capitulated due to a SLOPN-backed rebellion within their freshly annexed territories, known as the "Victorian Revolution." Even though Underworld did not sign any peace treaties or an armistice, the Countryball Galactic War was essentially over. Following their defeat, Underworld was mostly isolated, and they did not do much, barring their transformation into a federation (kind of) and, after that, the (kind of) semi-annexation of the Omnion Hegemony - until a hardline Marxist state known as Ares Tyrannos broke away from the Victorian Starflight (the successor to the Glorious Empire). Underworld, in spite of being fully ideologically opposed to Ares Tyrannos, lent them vast sums of wealth of resources regardless to weaken the Victorian Starflight and its allies. The former two nations signed a non-aggression pact and allied. After intense bickering between Underworld's leaders, they decided to declare war on the Victorian Starflight (technically again), which sparked the Third Dimensional War. They were bolstered by support from the extremely powerful Coopzian State, fringe radical groups, as well as insurgent forces from the SLOPNs' countries, but nevertheless, the V.S. had more numerous and overall powerful allies. It looked as though Underworld along with its allies, now falling under the collective name of the Tripartite Coalition (or simply the Coalition), would quickly fall to the SLOPN, but this was not the case. Underworld and the Coalition initially made large gains in the Third Dimensional War, but as with the last war, these would not last because. This is because the Coopzian State, which was an extremely crucial member of the Coalition and whose government came about as the result of a coup, experienced a countercoup that restored the old SLOPN/Victorian Starflight-aligned Coopzian government. Coopzia quickly left the Coalition and declared war on it. Although significantly weakened and having been pushed back, the Coalition's remaining members still were strong enough to fight against the Victorian Starflight and continue the Third Dimensional War, which eventually resulted in a brutal stalemate. After a few years of both sides making zero progress, they eventually stopped fighting. Like with the Countryball Galactic War, no armistices or peace treaties were signed, but the war was, for all intents and purposes, over. Since the unofficial end of the Third Dimensional War, Underworld has remained quiet again. However, there are suspicions that it is planning something... ====================
