hey friends ^-^ jade here, regarding the few and far between updates to the lockit comic. tl;dr there probably wont be any new chapters for a while due to my poor planning and lack of comic skills basically i came up w/ the idea back in late july '22 late at night to distract myself from spiralling into depression, and i spent about an hour making the first draft of the story, and then the next morning i looked over my notes and lil doodles and said 'hey I could make a comic out of this!' and that was that. it wasnt very a fleshed out idea yet, but i kinda just went for it and then a few days later i had pumped out #1 and was going strong! and then motivation died and i dropped the project for 2 months this, children, is not how you make comics :,) i had never made one before so i didnt know that at the time, but yeah bad idea dont try this at home so mistake 1: i came up w. the idea on impulse and didnt take proper time to plan anything out mistake 2: i made the first chapter in a short amount of time on a motivation wave, thinking i could ride this wave for the whole comic so when is the next chapter coming out? i have no clue! absolutely no idea when i will make a next chapter. the story needs revamps and lore additions before i can continue, and i need a strict schedule to follow. also if i decide to continue it will probably have to be a sketch comic maybe w/ some full-color panels if im feeling generous (eg the renegade, unfortunately the creators acc has been deleted so u cant read tr anymore but the fans will know what i mean) i know my extra shading is a big part of the comics style and will be missed, so sorry about that! but the full colored art saps a lot of my time and energy and is partly why i could barely publish the second chapter :,) im considering continuing the story on da instead of here if i ever continue, i dont have any experience making da comics but then i was always a bit worried about the comics darker themes getting it taken down by immature mass-reporting children ,:) lmao,,,,, it IS a comic about hell w/ like only 2 characters not being demons.... the children will riot at me /lh so yeah! i may still make some lockit content now and again, but no new chapters will come out until i can get my act together enjoy some cool art of greed swearing that i had to censor, cover ur ears kids (technically this could be considered spoilery but. oh well)
