It is the most isolated country due to its sheer ideological radicality, and is hated by literally everyone, even like-minded communists. A.T's national government is heavily centralized, sending any and all people who demand autonomy, as well as political opponents & civil rights advocates, to the gulag. There exists a secret police that monitors all Ares Tyrannians and their activities. The founding ideology of Ares Tyrannos is called Marxism-Leninism-Xerxonism (named after the leader of A.T, Xerxon), or simply "Xerxon Thought." It is essentially Stalinism, but far more authoritarian and radical, and believes in things such as the "permanent revolution," collectivization, etc. ==================== >>> HISTORY: The history of Ares Tyrannos began in the aftermath of the the Victorian Starflight's war with Underworld. The former nation's economy was essentially in the toilet, and the living conditions of the average V.S citizen were absolutely horrendous. Xerxon Kianxe R. Rexonite, a disgruntled military commander and avid communist (the latter trait being why he was kicked out of the military and became angry), saw the poverty the country was going through, and decided to seize the opportunity to overthrow the government. Xerxon founded an insurgent group which would come to be called "Ares Tyrannos," and began recruiting many disgruntled workers of the Victorian Starflight into its ranks. After further preparations, Ares Tyrannos declared independence. The V.S was, unsurprisingly, not happy at this development, and tried recapturing the territory A.T had taken with it. This did not work, however, due to sporadic pro-A.T uprisings across the nation. Ares Tyrannos managed to put up a good fight against the Victorian Starflight and its allies who were backing it (among them being the Cynopharon and Toad Empires), in part due to secretive funding from Underworld. In spite of this, they were not able to take over the entirety of the V.S, but they did manage to secure their (at the time de facto) independence. After winning their freedom, A.T began strengthening itself, and began expanding across a patch of Third Dimensional territory known as the "Great Expanse." It also made several alliances with nations such as Rhexoslavia, another communist nation which had fought for its independence, and Underworld (although unofficially.) Eventually, not long after the Ares Tyrannian War of Independence, another war would break out, known as the Third Dimensional War, which was between Underworld and the Victorian Starflight (with SLOPN on its side). Ares Tyrannos did not actively participate in this conflict, but several skirmishes did occur between it and the parties involved in the war. Xerxon was considering joining the war on the side of Underworld, but changed his mind. Since the end of the Third Dimensional War, Ares Tyrannos has remained quiet. There are rumors that they broke their alliance with and are planning to invade Underworld, but these have been proven false... or have they? ====================
