Ok, so I shared this for a reference for an AT-I'm still working on all the personalities and identities.
The creature in the picture's name is Tea (tay-uh), my new fursona/OC. REGARDING THE SPECIES- This is my own original species that I've been thinking of for a while now. Rylancae (Ree-Lahn-Chay) is the name I chose- I kind of derived this from the Latin phrase, "crystallium splendeti lancea"-meaning "Crystal Spear/Spade" and changed the pronunciation. This is the name of the species. Crystal armor, or spikes (blunt, lightweight) covers the body from midsection to calf area. The wings are milk glass; the actual wings are encased in the glass, except for the tips. What happens is, at birth and young age, Rylancea do not have arm/leg/WATEVER gauntlets, aura markers (ear), or milk glass encasings on wings. When the time does come, they go to the cave-lake, where supposedly the water runs pure white. Described as a "mental simulation" by elders, when you bathe in the lake, you enter the realm of dreams and your personality is unveiled through the "true test". This is where the Rylancea have earned their nickname, Delae (day-lee) derived from the Latin "on the sleeve"-De Manulea, or showing true personality. REGARDING WHY THE "SPEAR/SPADE" PART OF NAME-Duh. The crystal thingies. REGARDING TEA- Tea has just come of age and will soon go to the cave. She has a loving mother and father, along with an older sister. She has many friends, and her everyday life goes smoothly. Until the cave. Because when she came out, her spade was split along the two sides of her ear. Her aura was like that all along. That was what the Dream Chasers in the Realm had told her, at least. But the Cysi (Cheyesee) have confined her so they can see what is wrong. Without her family. In another cave. REGARDING AURAS- Okay, so there are 16 possibilities for aura markers. Spade (my personality!)-The true free spirit- Spades are those whose emotional connections with others is a priority. They are charming, independent, energetic, curious, and compassionate. Some of the downsides of being a Spade is finding hard to focus on uninteresting things (to them), and also overthinking things. They also get stressed easily and are highly independent.
