Instructions

Things I need to do: Step 1: Content. I don't want to edit the existing stuff having the Bios and Music finished. Considering how long Sekiyo has been supporting, I have faith he'll be able to get the bios done. But if he doesn't, I'm willing to have him do just the art for the fighters whilst JeffyJeff does bio only characters. In terms of music, I'm trying to cut back on it without cutting too much. Currently I have another 27 tracks that need to be made. I think 15 would be more digestible. Currently I have 24 that need to be made. I could cut another four from the plan, but there's a limit to how many I cut. You still need EarthBound music for the EarthBound stage, y'know... Step 2: Engine. Spybaz is restarting again. I'm hoping that this time I can take a complete template / engine for me to use. Once it is made though... this game could actually get made. But like there's a lot to get there, like characters, taking and giving damage, collision, CPU, Online- you can't just wish up an engine within a week y'know. But I'm hoping the project could be complete by the end of this year... Step 3: Stages. Currently 9/20 have been made. Pretty solid. 11/20 including the NMSBDS stage and Icicle Mountain, but those stages might need resprites... worst comes to worst I'll have to use em. But Popcornkid9 could probably make another 5 before he gets tired of making them.

Description

When all content is made, this is what I gotta do: - Proper boot-up messages (E.G. Epilepsy warning, Copyright and controls) - New title screen? Blend between current and Popcorn's. - Change the colours of the menus to fit the 'Black and Gold' colour scheme - Fix Rules and Roster layout- Have bios like SSBU's mural - Implement Engine and Fighters (This may take time, so this may be last) - Match transition screens (As well as match results / victory screens) - Implement Stages made into engine - Solo modes OR Online play implementation (When engine made) - If you do Solo modes, do an Arcade mode like Street Fighter 2 and an All-Star mode. This shouldn't take up much space since you're just stringing matches together - If you do online, on top of the necessary stuff, consider a system where the game stores a user's 'Favourite character' (Which is like Ultimate's profile picture system) This is fairly easy (doable) but takes up space when loading the Scratch version, since online doesn't work on Turbowarp since you need a verified account - Implement character portraits and consider rewriting existing / write new biographies - Implement music - Flesh out Flashbacks / Museum mode - Implement settings - Develop the mute button - SFX, Voicelines, Victory Themes and other audio bits - Implement all the series logos - Proper crediting - Fix settings / notes feature (E.G. Properly credit people, put in controls tutorial, etc.) - Easter Eggs? (I don't think this is doable in the stages, and Easter Eggs in the files are pointless. Really this'll be limited to Biographies and the Flashbacks / Museum feature.) - Consider more content post dev - Balance the characters post release - Intro cinematic / credits (Think 70cm square window with character biographies) Theme: Lifelight (Maluyuu / ShiningNeon - For SSBG) Music: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/802804996 <-- This art is not relevant to SSBG... Things that haven't changed: - Content selection hasn't changed. Fighters, Bios, Stages and Music are all pretty much the same. - Development team. I don't kick people off, I just let new people in. Aside from Maluyuu being more active, I haven't gotten anyone new yet.
