Hey people, I'm just gonna say here that just because the shock of the earthquake passed doesn't mean the Turks will to be okay. It will take years, maybe decades to clean up and rebuild. Turkey also has governmental issues, which doesn't make their case any better than it already is. Please, whatever you do, consider donating. A single US dollar is worth 27.697 Turkish lira. That's a lot. And not so much for you. In fact, the day that the earthquake struck, a single US dollar was 18 Turkish lira. See the change?? You can do /something/ even with that one, small-seeming crisp dollar bill. [Edit: 3/15/24] A single American dollar bill is now currently 32.26 TTurkish lira.
