Flurry sat in the den, alone. Her fur blew in the wind as she stared at the lifeless pile of fur that was her mother, tears welling in her eyes. She turned away, attempting to avoid the thought of her mother being gone. *This is a nightmare* Flurry thought *None of this is real, just a bad dream. Mom will wake me up any minute now* She tried to make the memory seem fake. Though it wasn't. Flurry waited, and waited, and waited. Her mother never woke her up. This was real. Flurry was alone. The small cub curled up to her mother, tears running down her fluffy cheeks. She pressed up against her mother's thick fur "I Love You" She whispered "Goodbye"
