In my Old Chruch Slavonic alphabet lore, Ж would be the villain trying to spell "живѣтє" meaning "life" or "live" because after spelling "заслужена смърт" meaning deserved death in Bulgaria, the other letters were about to [too scary] him until his death. (OCS: заслѹжена смърт)
