Description

-----------------------------Chapter 1-------------------------------- https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/75683576/ -----------------------------Chapter 2-------------------------------- Jack moaned unhappily as the alarm clock rang. Loudly. He sat up in his bed and blinked, his brain trying to process if it was there was school today or not. school. it was today. darn it. Jack fell back into bed and thought about yesterdays happenings. Shayla was not coming with them to their new home in Arizona. She was going to be in someone else's home. being someone else's dog. He clenched his fists, feeling sick to his stomach. "Jack! sweetie! time to get up! breakfast his on the table!" His mother called from downstairs. Jack flinched, thinking of the way he had yelled at is mother upon hearing the news. "Coming!" Shouted Jack as he got up from the bed and stumbled down the flight of stairs to the table, Shayla close behind him. "Jack, you sounded like a herd of stampeding elephants coming down those stairs, please be more careful, i don't want you falling and breaking a bone" Jack's mom chided as she loaded a plate full of pancakes for him and his sister. Jack nodded as he slid into his seat "Yes mom" He smiled sadly to himself, it was obvious she was feeling guilty about having to give Shayla away; Pancakes where his favorite. but his apatite was soured. did she really think she could bribe him into being happy about what was going to happen to Shayla? Jack sighed. "Whats the matter Jack? I always thought you liked pancakes.... are they burnt?" asked his mother "uh no-" started Jack, only to be cut off by his sister, Faith "You know Jack, if you're not hungry i'll eat em!" Jack rolled his eyes, -who was pretty much annoyed by everyone right now- finished his breakfast and grabbed his backpack out of the corner "great" he muttered bitterly to himself "now i got to go to school to get pushed around, Fs, and have to say goodbye to my friends." He started to walk out the door but Shayla moved to stand in his way. Jack chuckled and bent down to pet her "aw, sorry girl, i nearly forgot to say goodbye to you!" He rubbed her stomach and scratched he back. the school bus pulled up in front of the house. "I got to go girl, see ya later!" Jack smiled and kissed the top of her head before he ran out to the bus. Shayla stood at the door and watched from a window as the school bus's doors closed with a loud squeak and the bus rolled off, leaving a sent of exhaust. "Mom?" Asked Faith as she helped her mom clean off the table "Whats going to happen to Shayla? i mean, who is gonna take her?" Faith frowned "i thought you didn't like Shayla" replied her mother as she filled the sink with dishes. "Oh, i do" smiled Faith as she reached down to scratch one of Shayla's ears "i just don't make as big of a fuss about her as Jack does" Mother turned around to look at Faith and Shayla "well, I, I, haven't told Jack this yet, but, i'v decided to enlist Shayla as a war dog, i mean, the Vietnam war is becoming such a long one, and, i feel Shayla can help" AHAHAHHAHHA THE PLOT THICKENS! yup, this story is set in the time of the Vietnam war! (sorry this isn't that great (or long) of a chapter, im really tired)
