Instructions

What I like about this alphabet: 1. It reminds me of how ancient Greece was. 2. It's kinda like Cyrillic. 3. It kinda reminds me of Albanian but if it sounded like ancientness. Differences between Ancient and Modern Greek: 1. In the Ancient Greek language, Gamma actually had a velar plosive /g/. The sound is now used in the Modern Greek Γκ digraph as Gamma is now a velar fricative /ɣ/ 2. In the Ancient Greek language, Zeta was formerly pronounced like 'dz' or 'zd'. Obviously the sound is now used in the Modern Greek Τζ digraph as Zeta is now a single /z/. 3. In the Ancient Greek language, Omega and Omicron sound different. A short mid O for Omicron and a long open O for Omega. but in the Modern Greek language, Omega and Omicron sound completely similar and identical to each other. 4. In the Ancient Greek language, Eta and Upsilon sounded different. For example, an long open E sound for Eta and a German Ü and a French and Icelandic U. The sounds are now similar to Iota's sound in the Modern Greek language. 5. In the Ancient Greek language, Beta was a bilabial plosive /b/ The sound is now used in the Modern Greek μπ digraph as Beta is now a labiodental fricative /v/. 6. In the Ancient Greek language, Phi was formerly an aspirated P. This has completely turned into a labiodental fricative /f/ in the Modern Greek language. 7. In the Ancient Greek language, Chi was formerly an aspirated K. This has completely turned into a velar fricative /x/ in the Modern Greek language. 8. In the Ancient Greek language, Theta was formerly an aspirated T. This has completely turned into a alveolar fricative /θ/ in the Modern Greek language.
