As relations begin to tense up between Samainia and the FPKF over the Resursnayzemlya region and its resources, King Ivan III formally declares war on Samainia in spite of the Permafrost Pact's reaction being unknown. Knowing that Samainian troops are stationed up north in case of a Leerian invasion and that Uma's got Fazketia's back, the Fazketians strike first down south.
