‘And into the sea I go…to lose my mind and find my soul..’ The waves crashed and the stars twinkled in the marvelous night sky. “Orca! Darling!” Her mother had called. “Yes ma’am?” Orca swam towards her mother. It was /the/ night. She couldn’t mess up, this was her only and last chance. She already knew what her mother was gonna say. “Go get ready and meet me in the throne room” Her mother demanded with a calm and sweet tone. “Yes mother” Orca agreed, knowing it was the best option anyway. - - - l a t e r - - - Orca swam in the throne room. The marble floor glistening in the beautiful light. She looked around the immense room. That’s when she saw /him/. He quickly raced towards her, she couldn’t face him, no not now! She swam out of the undersea palace into the unknown waters. He continued chasing her! Why?! “Orca!” He called after her. “What?!-“ she quickly turned around and faced him, stopping in her tracks. “I told you, shard, we’re finished!” She growled. “I don’t ever wanna see you or your family ever again!! Just leave me alone! I’m starting my life over and I don’t need you messing that up for me!! Why can’t you just forget about the past?!” She boomed. Shard was speechless, all he could do was stare. “Orca…-“ He was interrupted. “-No…I don’t wanna deal with this..now if you’ll excuse me, I have a wedding to get to” she sniffled before swimming back to the palace she once came from. All Shard could do was watch. The darkness of the beautiful waters had engulfed him before he could even have a chance to fight back. He had given up, he had lost his mind to the madness of love and the sea…but his soul, his soul was still there. But someday that would be gone too… - e n d -
