The Marsh Emperor (Caesar anatis) evolved from wild. Muscovy ducks. Marsh emperors areabout 1 meter to 1 and a half meters tall and 2 meters long. They live in herds and are territorial. To fight for territory they head butt each other using their huge beaks that cover part of their head. They prey upon fish, lizards, snakes, smaller birds, frogs, rodents, rabbits and other small animals. They also eat the ocassional plant and scavenge for food as well. They are too heavy to fly but use their wings as flippers when diving, like penguins. They live near swamps but nest high in the mountains, and as a result evolved goat-like hooves to climb steep mountains. Groups of females work together to protect and feed young until the ducklings are ready to leave the mountains. They make low trumpeting sounds using the red extension under their eyes. They will use their beaks to whack and ram predators or rivals, and stomp and kick using their sharp clawed feet. Their eggs are as big as ostrich eggs.
