RESULTS ARE OUT! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/805410375/ NOW CLOSED Hello everybody, and happy February! As you know, this is the month of Valentine’s Day, and in turn the month of love! To celebrate true love this month, I’m going to be hosting a contest. Read on for the rules! 1) Deadline is February 14, midnight your time! 2) You must draw two characters in a relationship based on one of the following themes (please only pick one): a) candy crush b) pink sunset c) puppy love Interpret these however you’d like! You can use your original characters for this if they fit the theme (preferably change their hair/fur/clothes to match in color + style). You can also make up characters or use characters from books/tv with credit to the original creators. 3) This must be a drawing! It can be a series of drawings, which will make you more likely to win, or just one. You can do traditional or digital, though images that are easier to see for me will likely be marked higher. If you want, you can even do a short animated scene! (Extra points!) However, no animation memes, games, etc. Parallaxes are fine as well. Please make sure your drawing has a background, is fully shaded and lit, and fits the theme. If not, it will be discounted. This also goes for animations and parallaxes, though shading is optional for animations. 4) As for the characters, they can be in a romantic relationship (ex., dating or married), or a platonic one (just friends). For romantic relationships, please only use two characters. No more, no less. Also, please only do male/female couples for the romantic relationships. (This may be deemed controversial, but this is due to my religion and the beliefs I practice. If you have a problem with this, just don’t participate. Thanks!) For platonic relationships, you can draw as many characters as you want, in either gender. 5) This shouldn’t have to be said, but no stealing art! Whatever you submit, it must be original art that belongs to you. 6) All entries must be remixed, or else they won’t be counted. Now, onto the prizes! There will be one prize for each category, based on how much I like the art, how well it is composed, how well it fits the theme, etc. The prizes will be a follow and a fullbody of your character, or a scene of your character, or a design. (Only one.) Here is the rubric for scoring: 10 points for beauty 10 points for composition (colors, placement of characters, lighting, etc.) 10 points for how well it fits the theme 5 bonus points are available! 3 bonus points for doing a parallax 4 bonus points for doing a series of drawings 5 bonus points for doing an animation Alright, that should be all.
