Credit to @Echocloud for the adoptable ^^ My reason for wanting this character: I need more characters for a series that i'm making ^^ _____________________________________________________________ Name: Midnight Age: 10 (in human years) Personality: Sad, thoughtful, willing to help others Species: Moonkeeper (endangered) Element: Plasma Backstory: (BEWARE! DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE SICK OF SAD STORIES.) _____________________________________________________________ Midnight was born in the light of the full moon, which is why he is called Midnight. His parents cared for him very much, and for a time, he was happy. But then the chaos-bringers came and captured him and his family. The chaos-creatures wanted to make Midnight one of their own. His parents resisted, and Midnight was forced to watch them get tortured in front of his own eyes. The chaos-creatures told him that if he joined their army, his parents would live. He agreed, but they still killed his beloved father and mother. The moment he saw his parents fall, his world got shattered into a million pieces. Now, he was alone. Lost in grief, Midnight tried to use his powers to escape, but the chaos-bringers overpowered him. They gave him one last chance: if he did not join them, he would be killed. Midnight saw that his parents wouldn't want him to get killed, so he agreed. His work forced him to spy on animals and slaughter whoever he thought was a threat to the army. Finally, after being forced to kill a Moonkeeper the same age as him, he decided to escape. As he was working for the chaos-bringers, his powers grew, allowing him to sneak out. But the dark chaos-bringers noticed his disappearance and pursued him. Alas, he was caught. Midnight fought for his life, but they managed to overpower him, injuring him gravely. Was this the end? Just as he was about to die, he heard a big explosion, sending the chaos creatures flying. And then, he fell into unconsciousness. He woke up to see his wounds bandaged and a throbbing headache. Where was he? Midnight looked around. He seemed to be in a bedroom. There was a cozy lit fire and a bookshelf. A staircase descended up. He heard voices above the ceiling. "We found him with the chaos-bringers. He didn't seem to be working for them though." said a voice. "Why did you take him in? You know full well he might be a spy from them." "Please! I'm sure he will tell us everything. Don't do it." A white she-cat peeked out from the staircase. Meeting Midnight's gaze, she flinched and then bolted back up, calling:" He's awake!" The she-cat came back with a grey tom. They descended down the stairs. "Hey! I'm coming too!" came a voice. Then a yellow she cat came down. "Hey! What about me??" Then a blue-ish dog with a weird tail rushed down, tripped, and with a yelp, landed down the stairs on his face. "Hi! What's your name?" the white winged cat said. "Midnight.." The grey cat stepped forward. "Tell us your story. We're sorry, but we need to know if your working for the chaos-lings." Midnight gazed at him blankly. Should he tell? He had nothing to lose. So he told his life's story. Once he finished, silence filled the room. "I have no idea what to make of this." the dog said. "Well.." "Want to join us? I'm Splashfire." the winged she-cat blurted. The other animals looked at her in astonishment. "Wait, you want him to join us, when he could be a potential enemy for the whole of Maevor?" The grey tom looked at him suspiciously. "Well, I know when someone's lying or not, and he sure isn't." the other she cat retorted, backing Splashfire up. "Hmph. Well, if your wrong, the whole world will be doomed." "Fine! I'm willing to take that risk." Splashfire said recklessly. So, Midnight agreed to join them. And he never regretted it, for the first time in his life.
