Barry Wilson was a photographer for dreamland's local newspaper But one day he encountered something off A Monster seemingly living on a different plane This wasn't the first time this happened He had told his co-workers about it only to not believe him So one day he decided to take pictures of this monster that was following him in the middle of the night It knew This monster was unlike anything anybody had seen or encountered In retaliation to keep itself secret from the world it creates its own new species The Root The Root first spreads through his house Eating the walls and carpet slowly spreading slowly growing When the house is rid of its nutrients it comes after barry Suddenly this Root was found all over the surrounding city Taking over it in a matter of days The King ordered a highly trained swordsman to vanquish this threat This succeeded but the last remains of the roots hid within the corpse of their first victim the root and barry's corpse became one somehow Barry still has brain activity but cannot move or do anything Stuck in this painful existence for as long as the root survives
