Welcome to “The Dreams Only Lied” a role play themed around the infinite expanse of reality. One soul is required to enter the dreamscape, make your offering. If accepted you shall be granted passage. The dreamscape can show you your wildest fantasies but it can also show you things you didn’t wish to see. Take caution, every death leaves a mark, every trip takes a piece of you. INFO -This RP does have a larger overall plot but it’s set over a long period of time so people can join at any point and still have a part in the plot. -The Collector (played by @briefcase-cat) has control over all major events and can jump into any ongoing role play chain to orchestrate said events. -There are a few places that are seemingly unconnected to the rest of the dreamscape (Ex. starting area, the archives, the doorway) -The dreamscape is ever expanding so it's nearly impossible to have an accurate map of it. You can have a map of certain areas and regions. -People can be made to fill the dreamscape though they're never really right. -Time works in a really weird way. People from any point in time can be in the dreamscape together so long as they're both sleeping (or in some cases dead) at what one could consider now. -Anchors are to make sure your character wakes up. If a character wishes to stay in the dreamscape forever then they can drop their anchor and their physical body will die while their consciousness remains in the dreamscape. -Those who are lucky may be approached by the Collector. He’s the god of the dreamscape, be sure to show your proper respect. or don't I mean- SPECIFIC RULES -Each character must have an anchor, something to remind them that they are dreaming. This rule can be ignored if your character wants to get lost in their dreams or if losing themself is part of your character's development. -The rules apply to everyone, EXCEPT for higher power deity characters which can only exist with express permission from @briefcase-cat. -Gore is allowed but if you feel like what you’re describing could trigger someone please add a warning. -You cannot play an already existing character (Ex: characters from movies) or a real life person. -No powerplaying, again only higher power deity characters with specific power sets can for example, control others actions. -Killing, severely injuring, and maiming characters is allowed. -Your character’s backstories cannot significantly involve gods (of the in universe variety) or other characters unless permission is given. -Though clothing in the dreamscape can be from any time period/culture, human technology only goes till about the early 1950s. Magic does however exist. GENERAL RULES -There is no age requirement for this role play however I would rate it 15+ -Be respectful to everyone out of character. If you’re in character it doesn’t matter as much. -All explicit content has to take place off screen, it can be implied, but please don’t be sketchy in the RP chains. -Ask all involved in a chain before joining -In chains with 3+ people don’t leave anyone behind. If someone hasn’t responded in a while, notify them on your profile. -Use third person past tense -You can have up to three RP characters -I require all characters to have different names, sorry if that’s an inconvenience. Names that are pronounced similarly are fine as long as they’re spelled differently. The character list can be found in the official studio. -If you purposely leave parts of your character sheet blank (for the purpose of revealing it later in the RP) I might have to ask you to change it later if it doesn’t comply with the rules. -The codeword is run -If a moderator lets you know that something isn’t allowed, please don’t argue with them.
