West Germany and East Germany are reunited, but East Germany begins to disappear. _________________________________________ "West!" East cried. West lunged forward and hugged East, sobbing. "East, h--East, what's happening?!" East seemed to be turning into dust, fading away. "N-n-no! East, hang o--/no/!" West shrieked desperately. But there wasn't anything he could do. "West, I--" East whispered. "/I love you/..." Then he faded away completely, and his glasses fell onto the ground with a clatter. West picked them up, then put them on his own face as the eagle faded from his flag. _________________________________________
