Neuro-Squiggles: ND Voices - https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/31892630/ ---- Neurodiversity - natural variety of the human brain and cognitive functioning, the idea that everyone thinks/learns differently. Neurodivergent (ND) - to have a brain that works differently from what's considered typical. This includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, tic disorders, personality disorders, developmental disabilities, and more. There are lots of misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding different neurotypes, but here we help debunk them by sharing our experiences and spreading better awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity! This studio aims to be an inclusive and safe space for ND people and allies. ──────  ∞  ────── In this studio you can: • Share your experiences related to neurodiversity and specific neurotypes • Ask questions • Chat with other ND people • Seek advice, info or support • Vent, rant and infodump • Be yourself 8) Check out these project ideas for inspiration! https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/638549/?page=1#post-6704769 ──────  ∞  ────── Anyone can join this studio whether you're neurodivergent or not - if you'd like to be a curator or to introduce yourself, fill out this form in a comment: nickname and pronouns // your neurotype/s // any info about you // codeword (hidden in studio description) By becoming a curator you automatically agree to the rules, and may be removed if you don't follow them. ──────  ∞  ────── Rules: 1) Be kind, respectful and open minded. 2) There's no such thing as a bad question! So long as you're not being deliberately disrespectful, feel free to ask whatever you want. 3) Please be understanding towards those who are unaware/unsure of something, or have trouble using the right language to describe something. We're all still learning. 4) Don't gatekeep the ND community or dictate what is and isn't allowed. Anyone is welcome here. 5) If a discussion gets out of hand, it's best to stop engaging (use the report button on anything disrespectful). 6) Keep projects related to the theme of the studio. Please note that none of us are professionals and we are only speaking based off our knowledge and experiences. I'd recommend doing further research about what you're asking about, and hearing from multiple perspectives. The codeword is 'idea'. ──────  ∞  ────── Our managers: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/630583/?page=1#post-6612763 If you would like to be a manager: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/635182/?page=1#post-6667514 ──────  ∞  ────── Other links: Guide to Neurodivergent Terms - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/710336682 #AskNeurodivergents - https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/30698844/ Neurodivergent Chat Room - https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/30398503/ Autism Acceptance Studio - https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/31013192/ Other ND related studios - https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/647865/?page=1#post-6805373
