Coal reluctantly returned to the starry pool that night. He padded down the tunnel and into the cave. The light of the stars reflected off of the starry pool and he lie down beside it. Tonight he dreamed of something else. He was lying beside Song and a den with three kits running around, and a starry kit playing with them. One of them, light yellow with blue eyes seemed familiar to him. He blinked but when he opened his eyes he was back on the cold stone, sunlight bathing the cave.
