You can't normally pop a sample from the sonic games into audacity since they have a 4 bit to 8 bit conversion system, which audacity doesn't support. So I made a converter to import the hex values of a sample and convert it to audacity sample text. This decodes only certain samples from the smps z80 engine. Some games like MJ's moonwalker have different arrays and will NOT be compatible. From what I can tell, this engine supports dynamite headdy, ristar, the genesis sonic games, and probably more. You can find a whole list on the sega retro smps wiki!
