This is a continuation of the first project I did about Sokeefe, I ran out of room so I have to continue it here. Please read pt. 1 first: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/685704920 ⚠major spoilers for kotlc ahead⚠ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Unlocked Keefe's POV was extremely eye-opening for me. The first time I read the series, I was a Fitzphie shipper who was swaying toward Sokeefe, and Keefe's art commentary finally converted me: - He revealed that he liked Sophie since book 1, which I didn't realize before. - Literally the only reason he drew the Exile memory was for 'that bIvsh'. - When describing the Legacy memory, he said that he'd 'always come back' for her, which is really sweet. - Every drawing had Sophie in it. And these are drawings he found significant enough to write about. And then we came to his POV. And. Wow. I can't even describe- I have no coherent words here. But again, Keefe is willing to sacrifice his own happiness to see Sophie happy. He really and truly cares, and I can't exactly say the same about Fitz. Keefe keeps saying that he doesn't deserve Sophie, but he does! Sophie deserves better than Fitz, Fitz is the one who doesn't deserve her. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My Opinion On Fitz Now, reading all this you might be thinking that I dislike Fitz. I do not. I dislike Fitzphie, because it is a toxic relationship and not good for either of them. Fitz himself has some issues, issues that need working out before he's in a relationship again. But Fitz is still a good guy. Sure, he's iffy when it comes to Alvar, and I'm not going to try to deny it. But Fitz is a caring and brave person. He had a great personality in the first couple books, and then Shannon made him all about anger issues, which upsets me because he is SO much more than that. He's a good friend and a good person. I personally find him very adorable sometimes. Fitz is, in my eyes, a bean. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My Opinion On Sophie I hear a lot of people saying that Sophie is a Mary Sue. They might be saying this because she has a lot of powers, more than anybody else. But I feel like that's part of her character, part of what makes Sophie Sophie. Plus, she has questionable morals sometimes (burning down the storehouse comes to mind), which I think is interesting because most 'Mary Sue' characters are purely good. She might be a little bit of a Mary Sue, perhaps, but she's amazing. I do think that Sophie needs to wait a little bit before another relationship, which is why I'm kind of hoping the Sokeefe confession will be in book 10 and not in Stellarlune. But overall, I like Sophie and I think she deserves someone better than Fitz. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Extra - This is a popular theory. It is many Sokeefe shippers belief that Sophie likes Fitz with her head, and Keefe with her heart. I think this is true, and I talked about something similar in the intro: Sophie already liked Fitz with her head, so she's not realizing she likes Keefe with her heart. As Keefe says, the emotions in the heart are deeper and harder to read. The head-heart theory is inspired by Lord Cassius's book, "The Heart of the Matter." I find this significant because Shannon doesn't do things for no reason. She mentions the book many times. I think she's doing it on purpose to set up Sokeefe. - This is another theory that I can't get out of my head. I think the main ship alternates with each book. Book 1, it started off with Sofitz, and then in book 2 it switched to Sokeefe, and so on. It matches up, too. They have WAY more moments in the 'Sokeefe-centered' books. Now, if we don't count Unlocked (and I'm not going to, because it was a novella/8.5), then this means that Stellarlune will be more 'Sofitz-centered' (makes sense, because since Keefe ran away he will presumably not be in most of Stellarlune), and then book 10 will be 'Sokeefe-centered'- which means we might get the confession then. What do you think? Also the Sokeefe-centered ones are the ones with Keefe on the cover, so Keefe will probably be on the book 10 cover. - Ayyyy okay this is kind of a cute thing I thought of :D As far as ships for Biana go, I think she doesn't need a guy, but if she did date someone I'm leaning more towards Dex rather than Tam. I think that Biana and Dex should get together before Sophie and Keefe do, so Sophie kind of sees how Dex is getting over her and realizes she needs to get over Fitz. Again, Biana is a goddess and doesn't need anyone whatsoever, but I think that this is something that will likely happen. (cont. in notes & credits)
