(mmm been a while since I've quoted a song in a project :')) ) Hahahahah I've waited sO LONG TO DO THIS B))) (literally only about a week or so-) I HAD THIS PICTURE IN MY MIND FOR A WHILE AFTER I LISTENED TO THIS SONG AFTER A LITTLE BIT- AND I HAD TO DRAW THIS BECAUSE THIS SONG, LIKE ALL COLDPLAY SONGS, GAVE ME HEAVY FLINT VIBES ;W; So this art piece was made out of pure impulse, no one gave me the idea except for this song and myself. And I love Flint so why not ;')) and I know this song is super popular, and maybe for diversity I could've used a different song, but whatever lol this song inspired this piece so it would be completely different if it was a different song :"))) I honestly wouldn't say this is a theme song for him though X'D But like I said, this song gave me Flint vibes (like, basically any other Coldplay song as well lol- I mean it's getting to the point where I'm close to thinking of Chris Martin (lead singer of Coldplay, I'm pretty sure-) as my headcanon voice for him lol (but I mean, nothing will ever exactly match what he sounds like in my head, although it's still fun to think of these lol) ), so I drew this B)) (I mean, maybe it might become a theme song for him, but I'm not sure haha- I based this piece off the mood the song was giving me, soooo :"DDD and of course, I made the sky f u l l o f s t a r s B)))))))))))) however, I might've managed to incorporate some things into his backstory… :') ) I tried to make the sky as pretty as possible lol- it took a while though ;w; and I also used this as an opportunity to shade more hair and stuff because it's fun :'DD but this also took a stINKING LONG TIME TO DRAW- ALMOST ABOUT A W E EK. WITH OF COURSE BREAKS IN BETWEEN, A LOT OF MINI BREAKS, BUT LIKE- ;W; so yeah take note that I spent a lot of time on this :')) (this was also clearly set before the Labyrinth happened lol-) I might've also mentioned to you, John, that I'm drawing Lillian. I got stuck because of the background X'D mainly because I didn't know what Nether terrain to do, lol. I'm thinking the Nether Wastes, Soul Sand Valley, or Crimson forest or something. But then there's drawing it that'll be pain lol- but I do intend to finish it soon haha. And yes, guys. I figured out/found out about the symmetry tool. I used it quite a bit, so if you flip the piece around, some parts will look the same :")) I also did the trick where if you flip your canvas, you can correct any misproportions and incorrect stuff. It looked so terrible flipped that- I could hardly look at it XD there are definitely still some off aspects, but it looks okay. I definitely gave it a huge renovation lol And, naturally, I had trouble with the hand B))) it was either too big, too small, or it looked weird. And then f i n a l l y got it after a while- no joke though, it literally took like 2 - 4 days to get to the flat colours stage XD tHE AMOUNT OF LIGHTING AND SHADING THOUGH- LIKE INCLUDING ON HIS GLASSES AND EYES AND TEARS AND STUFF. LIkE- I even gave lighting to his eyelashes :") (I mean you can't really see it but it's still there-) You're welcome (but like, it's actually super satisfying to give lighting to eyelashes on art- but frustrating sometimes to get the right shape for it ;w;) Also the tears are there to fit the mood a little more, even though it i s more of an upbeat song. I was just getting that sort of vibe from it lol- waitwaitwait I gotta count all the layers lol- *counts layers* *falls out of chair* *forgets how many layers it was* *SCREAMS* *counts again* 7 0. FREAKING. LAYERS. FOR THIS ART PIECE ALONE. AND THERE'S ONLY O NE S I N G LE CHARACTER IN I- I am 30 away from reaching the layer limit (I think-). :') How. Did I do this.* Help HAHAHAHAHAH NOW TO DRAW THAT WAVE SCENE YOU SUGGESTED TO ME JOHN LOL *literally almost types Blackbark again even though you've had this nickname for 2 - 3 months-* I'll also admit, I was thinking about doing a process of this piece, but…the process would be w a y. Too long. :"DD I've also been drawing quite a bit lately, and I've got so many ideas for what I want to draw. Sooooo…B))) Also, afTER THIS I SWEAR I WILL STOP TALKING LOL uhhh I started getting motivation for STR I think again? I was working on it earlier and it was actually fun to work on it again. So I think I needed that break :'D I'm also thinking I'm slowly starting to plan out more, but it's still very unsteady. But if/when I start giving out hints, you'll know that I've gotten somewhere >;') so I just thought I would say that lol.
