Name: Salty Gender: Male Species: cat/dog/fish hybrid Likes: Liquorish, swimming, diving, moral behaviour, drawing, clam chowder, annoying Oz and Grover [mainly Oz though] Dislikes: sweet food, eating fish [but he loves crabs and clams], musicals, not getting what he wants, being alone, whales [he has a fear of them o.o] Personality: Annoying, stubborn, hyperactive, curious, adventurous, selfish, creative, short attention span, has no manners but has a strong belief in morality Story: Since he was a young pup, like the social butterfly he is, Salty has always been fond of being surrounded by others. He would often follow certain people around, and although seemingly friendly and genuinely interested in the individual, Salty only associates with people who he thinks he can gain something from. When he was younger, his stalking, annoying attitude was tolerable… however as he got older it soon increased to an amount no one could put up with. This led to the poor pup being left out. Having being abandoned by those who called him a ‘friend’, Salty swam around trying to find someone new. That’s when he found the Sea Witch. The Sea Witch who had a magic necklace in the shape of a crescent moon. Being blinded by greed, Salty continuously bugged the witch until she finally caved in and gave him the necklace. He could have just stole it, but Salty would never do such a thing. It would have damaged his own morals. Some time passes to Salty’s teen years. While swimming a fisherman accidently caught Salty in his net, dragging him onto the boat. Salty started to freak out since his kind is often sold on the black market for a fair price. Luckily for him, by the time the fisherman had spotted him, something strange happened. Salty began to take the form of a cat/dog hybrid. After some confusion with the fisherman, Salty jumped back into the water; once he was free he found that he had returned to normal. Salty theorised that the necklace gave him the power to switch forms, testing the theory by taking it off and returning to land, finding he stayed the same. This soon proved his idea, which led to even more adventures. Throughout his years of traveling on land and sea, Salty developed an obsession with collecting things. He often found that he could not live without things that were so unimportant. [Basically he’s a major hoarder] His stubborn and annoying personality made it even worse for those who had items he wanted to add to his collection. Again, he would follow that individual till he got what he wanted. If a person took too long however, Salty would get increasingly bored. When bored he draws. When he draws he doesn’t care if it’s paper or not. If a person takes too long giving him what he wants, Salty will often draw on the individual’s home, on their walls, on the individual while they’re sleeping etc... Even though he does this, Salty is kind enough to always use washable ink… again his morals get in the way of being totally bad, but it’s still highly annoying that one has to clean his mess up since Salty will refuse. Over the people he has annoyed, his absolute favourite would have to be Oz. Salty loves to visit Oz, to which Oz hates being visited. Despite the fact Oz appears to hate Salty, and Salty appearing to use Oz like all his previous ‘friends’, deep down they both have a very close friendship. The two often bicker, like how Oz doesn’t want Salty swimming up the pipes to his house and how he should just use the front door, but they always seem to be able to tolerate each other just enough to be near one and other. Lastly, Salty always talks in third person and has a bit of an accent to his voice. For example, this is how he would speak; “Salty doesn’t like the front door, ya’ hear! If Salty wants to use the water pipes to get in, Salty can use the water pipes to get in. Does Salty look like he cares if they break?” If I get him, i'm thinking of making a game about some of the weird stuff that happens to Oz and Grover... Salty would be another random event that would occur. If I don't, i'll just redesign the pup... cuz his general character is really important so i'll have to do something to replace this amazing guy!
