1. The POVs Wren I liked Wren, she was a character who was mistreated for actually having a personality and then sacrificed??? How does no one in the book care they they just sacrificed a FRICKING 7 YEAR OLD?? Besides the horrifying fact no one cares if children die or not, Wren is an awesome character. I love Sky and I love her and I love their relationship. As angry as I am that dragons know humans are called humans now, I still like Sky and Wren. And also the hybrid language is amazing and MURDERBASKET AHAHUFBHJNKWERJHTERJKFWORJH Leaf Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa— I honestly loved Leaf, for no reason at all. I think it was just because he was the epic ‘older brother figure’ that everyone needs in their life. And so yeah- Im not really a fan of Leaf x Ivy because it’s probably the most boring thing I’ve ever read, then again I say that about a lot of romance themed things. Leaf is a legend and hes amazing. Ivy The most boring POV of all of them. She had great potential with her dad being the ‘Dragonslayer’ and such, but really the only thing I really liked about her chapters were her being a Wingwatcher. I didn’t really like Violet or Daffodil either, not because they’re bad characters, but mainly just because they’re kinda boring. I think her mom should’ve gotten more parts in the book, like I would’ve liked to see her help Ivy and her friends more with their whole plan against the Dragonslayer, but yeah. Ivy’s personality is not…interesting, I guess? Idk, she just makes me feel like shes just another character in a book I read. 2. Other characters Undauntable No. Just no. I thought he was just a really annoying dude trying to marry Wren until the Prologue when it states he genuinely cares for her, but still, marrying a 14-15 year old?? I mean, Undauntable is probably around 15 as well, and thats two minors getting married. Undauntable x Wren is an absolute joke to me and I don’t know if anyone actually ships this? If you do thats fine, but I question why you do what you do. Undauntable’s dad (the invincible lord or whatever his name was) This guys existence legit sets up the entire 4th arc. And here is my opinion. A lot of people say that the 4th arc is gonna be about Auklet and Cliff and Peacemaker and the kids, but I honestly think it’s gonna be more focused about Sky and Wren and maybe even Peril. I mean the Invincible dude seemed to be specifically threatening Wren and Sky, so unless Tui has a plan with how shes gonna fit the kids into all of that, honestly I don’t think it will be about them. (Although I could be wrong) Stone Uncle figure 101 Love this guy, the best side character of them all. No more to say. Thats it. Sandstorm Bro speaks with caps lock on and keeps forgetting to TURN IT OFF. Other than that I actually kinda liked him? Not the fact he kidnapped Sky, but he seemed like a pretty enthusiastic dude. The book sets him up for you to hate him and miserably failed XD Sky Sky is adorable. If anyone asked me for my personal thought on ‘who’s the real parent in Sky and Wren relationship’ I would say Wren. Sky is cute and all, but he cant really defend himself, unlike his sister. He’s still a bean <3 Violet and Daffodil Honestly never thought of them as any interesting characters, just kinda thought they were there. And I was like…yay…I guess MURDERBASKET AHAAHAHAHAH Im gonna say it…this book somehow was able to make me like Deathbringer slightly more. “Mr. Murderbasket.” - Wren 3. The main plot All I can say is this book is a solid 6/10. Could be better in a lot of places, but a decent chunk of it (mostly Wren’s chapters) were really good! The main plot was sorta confusing at times and Ivy’s dad being the main villain was just kinda dumb. I thought it was painfully obvious Stone killed Oasis, not Heath, but the book has to lay it off until the end of the book. Uhguhgfdjgdsgefewf
RIP Sandstorm, sent to the dragon afterlife with caps lock still on Another big mistake I forgot to add in the other project: Sandstorm calls humans ‘humans’. This book takes place during books 1-5 so humans are still scavengers BRUHHH
