ok i have mixed feelings about how this turned out i had a cool idea i think going forward, and eye (bc eyes are naturally cool) and then the reflection of the nail polish in the eye would connect it back to the prompt, not only bc polish is polish, but also the reflection gave a polished sort of vibe to me then i drew the iris and was like heck yeah this looks great, added the nail polish reflection after fiddling around with layers in a way i don’t normally do (my art goal this year is to step outside my comfort zone and explore new things) it looked pretty sick and then i didn’t work on it for a week … i was feeling unsure on how to tie off the piece i draw very sketch-y (not SketchE haha) eyes so the iris looking fairly realistic was a tedious (but not laborious) process, but i did not know where to start when doing the rest of the eye so i said screw it and did a sketch-y rest of the eye AND THEN BC OF WHAT I HAD TO DO WITH THE LAYERS TO GET THE NAIL POLISH OVERLAY I COULDNT CORRECTLY CENTER THE EYE WITHOUT MESSING SOMETHING UP AHHH so it’s off center no bg, i didn’t want to distract from the polish in the eye bc shading made it subtler also i forgot anyway it’s not my favorite art piece but it exists and it was more about the learning process than the outcome for me at this moment i will be posting a new project for each month of the annadraw contest (most likely) i would’ve done it on my alt but idk if i remember the password and that’s a hassle
