Space or click for next. ___________________________ Flurry was so worried,they'd been looking for the escaped captive,one of Daybreaker's scouts,for an hour now.They were covered in scratches from the sharp underbrush,and yet they had found nothing.She was technically to blame though,since it was her who had convinced the others to sneak out of the base and find the captive so that they would be respected by the adults.Well,okay,she said it was because as part of the rebellion it was their rightful duty to do so,but in her head,it was just so her mom would think she was more grown up.And now there they were,Nova,Starglow,Lemon Twist,Sandy,and Nightingale all following her.A sudden cackle rang out,and much to their horror Daybreaker materialized. "Ah,so this is where you've chosen to hide my little omen..."She snarled. *huh?*Flurry thought,before realizing she was talking to Nova---how dare she! "Hey!Nova's 100 times the alicorn you'll ever be!"Starglow snarled back at Daybreaker. "You all want to fight?Fine!"Daybreaker declared,but as Starglow and Sandy prepared to fight alongside Nova while the others made a run from it,Nova pushed them back with her wings. "Go,now.Daybreaker is extremely dangerous,but I've had enough encounters with her I can survive,but I won't take the risk that I can protect you all at the same time.Run and get help,I'll hold her off."Nova commanded.Reluctantly they all left,but they only went as far as to hide in a bush,so they could help their friend if needed. "Fool!Now you will die alone!"Daybreaker proclaimed,"but not before you watch me dispatch your friends one by one."She added,and then she charged,or attempted to charge,past Nova,but Nova forced her horn against Daybreaker's,much like one would with two swords. "Not if I can help it you won't!"Nova screamed.Daybreaker advanced on her,having the advantage of being a full grown pony,and Flurry and the others were about to jump into the fight as well,but a sudden flash of light threw Daybreaker into a tree.The elements of harmony had appeared out of nowhere and began circling Nova,and she was lifted off the ground and consumed by a sphere of light.From the elements of harmony,a new gem appeared,and when the magic light dissapated,Nova was bearing not only an element of harmony,but a cutie mark too.Suddenly,Flurry's aunt,Princess Twilight appeared but she was...glowing? "Princess Twilight?"Nova asked,confused. "No,I am the spirit of the tree of harmony,and I'll answer all questions once I take care of her."The spirit said,turning to Daybreaker.A single flash of light and Daybreaker vanished. "Where'd she go?!"Nova asked of the spirit,looking around frantically. "To the Canterlot marketplace of course,and that place is an absolute maze now,so she won't be out for a while.I also banned her from the Everfree forest,so she can't step a hoof in here nor even fly over it.Unfortunately,I cannot do the same for the scouts she sends."The spirit said,turning back to Nova."You Nova,are the first to ever bear the element of harmony--"The spirit began. "No I'm not,my friends have elements of harmony too."Nova interrupted,to which the spirit shook it's head. "The elements are of kindness,generosity,loyalty,honesty,laughter,and magic,but there are lost elements too scattered about Equestria,such as strength,hope,beauty,bravery,healing,and sorcery.But the one element that has never been harnessed by any being is the element representing harmony.The one who bears the element of harmony is connected to all of the elements as well,and is the only one that can use all of them."The spirit explained."Now I believe your friends are waiting in those bushes."The Spirit finished,pointing a hoof at the bush that they were indeed hiding in,before vanishing itself.Their cover blown,they all exited the bush and rushed to Nova,who did NOT look pleased that they had stayed and put their own lives in danger for her own sake.Luckily for them,this was soon forgotten as the six friends started off for the rebel base laughing and smiling at the whole ordeal,and being in awe of both Nova's cutie mark and element. "Hey Nova check it out!Your cutie mark looks like Princess Luna's!"Sandy pointed out,and only at that comment did Nova notice this.Her friend was right,her cutie mark did indeed look like Luna's.Nova smiled at it.Luna was the pony who'd saved her from Daybreaker,and the pony who'd introduced her to he friends,but most importantly,Luna was like a mother to her.Though she didn't know who her real mother was,she found she didn't care.Luna was the only mother Nova wanted. ____________________________________________
Nova finally has an element! Yay! You have no idea how long it took me to write this though sheesh,it sure took it's sweet time didn't it? Welp it's here now so I'm happy :D
