Description

Back in 2009 Aclipse had no new cars coming out in that year and they wanted to change that. Aclipse wanted to make a car that everyone could use as an affordable daily driver. That's when they created the "Versa", a SUV/ Hatchback that can fit 7 people with tons of trunk space. There were many different trim levels for the Versa for every budget and the higher end models were surprisingly cheap compared to most others at the time including cars from the Aclipse brand. After production started, commercials came out for the Versa and some people liked it and some people despised it. Some said that the taillights and rear end all together looked like a dodge caravan from the early 2000's. Others complained that there was not a sportier version for the teens who have massive debt in their bank accounts so after 2 months after the Versa was released Aclipse released the Versa 'Notchback' which was a sedan version of the Versa. They released a special "Sport" version of the Notchback which only had around 10,000 produced before they cut off the production for that specific trim. People loved the Versa for its seating, trunk space, and the way that the front end was designed. One major flaw that occurred with the Versa and the Versa Notchback was that the most basic models (That being the Base Budget and the Base) had very bad reliability and broke down easily due to overheating. However, most of these occurrences happened in the deserts of Nevada and the canyons of Utah so Aclipse sent out a commercial stating that if you bought a Base Budget or Base Versa, to keep it out of the sun for long periods of time or else it will break down in the middle of the road. Other than that one major flaw, the Versa was widely popular and tons of people bought them for daily drivers. Overall, there have been 780,000+ sales of the Versa and it is very common to see four or five of them an hour if you are driving constantly.
