edit: changed thumbnail bc it was annoying me talking about my art journey? no. i’m b!llying my old art xDD january: this was a redraw of one of @scarIet-stars’s ocs from an art trade. i remember being super proud of this—but—ew. the eyebrows are way too thin and the ears are literally ovals at the side of her face. the nose looks terrible as well. i think the “shading” was from my phase when i used the blend tool (cezanne 2) for everything, and the lineart is just disgusting honestly xD february: i still like the pose but the rest is again, very disgusting. this was an entry for mofaith or something like that i dislike my lineart style again, i have no idea what brush i was using but it made my art look worse than it was. march: OH NO i remember this—it was a redraw of dani, aka the scratch sprite. i remember being super proud of this lol. the muddy shading is…just…well, i won’t mention it. you can barely see the shading at all. and the hair is so flat argh. again with the eyebrows—i never used filters and you can see it :’) april: this was the art before clem changed it, i kind of like the face but everything else is weird. i’m still using cezanne 2 for blending, but at least you can sort of see it. eyebrows have gotten better, but the anatomy still needs work. this was a drawing of bralynn. may: ok, i think this is when i started shading and adding filters—except it’s way too bright lol. the hair has way too many highlights and the skin is still sort of muddy. june: i remember being so proud of this. i have no idea why. i’m still using cezanne 2 for blending of the shading, and the same weird vector brush i was using for literally everything. she needs to be tilted a bit though. july: aah still proud of this, except for the background because i never filled the bottom with black. i think the lineart style is cute, but not my style anymore. it feels kind of stiff as well. this was an entry for @berricake’s contest. august: entry for @byebrowski! i improved somewhat on shading, but the face still needs improvement. the art is so far away, it just needs to be zoomed in a bit. i like the hair though, just the face— september this was an otap for someone (sorry i forgot)! i remember liking the face, but now it’s disgusting. why is it so thin lol, it looks super squished beneath all of that stiff hair. edit: i think it was @pigeonyx! october this was for *abandoned* inktober. i am not very proud of this, all my pen sketches come out weird, the only thing i like is the idea. slight improvement with the face except i made her cross-eyed. november this is arli’s (@charliesunset) icon for swc! i remember liking the base for these icons a lot, but when i actually drew them i had to liquefy a lot. the face isn’t too my liking, but i do like the hair :0 december this is my art study (flipped version)! i feel like I’ve improved so much, with shading and so many other things, as well as the changing of my style <3 expect a redraw/art dump soon, as well as an important announcement and the art for my pfp! stay tuned! art - me art program used - adobe fresco, sketchbook music - as it was by harry styles
