Just something I was messing around with for basically the entire day. No, this is not the basis for a new fangame, but rather just a small experiment I wanted to try out. Currently this is just a mockup of a title screen, but later on it'll probably turn into a whole menu. UPDATE 1: Added some music to make it feel less empty! I also edited the sprite to look a little better.
Credits to @MunchJrGames for the BG sprites, Chemical Star for Sonic 2 Extra and Sonic's sprites from the mod, and Team Forever for Sonic 2 Absolute and its' sprites, which I both combined to make the Sonic sprite here, Devy for the Expanded Title Screen font, SEGA for creating Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Takeaki Watanabe for the PC-98 track Sonorously Box.
