Why was everyone else running???” I questioned. There was a long pause, before Tiff spoke… “A student saw the statues moving and holding weapons,” another moment of silence occurred. “Are we going to die here?!? I don’t want to die at…”I was cut off by an ear piercing scream. Tiff stared at me with a ‘that doesn’t sound good’ look. I led the way running in the direction of the scream only to be pushed back by hundreds of kids running the opposite way. I saw my neighbour and best friend Blair in the crowd. “Blair” I yelled, she ran over to me and Tiff. I gave her a hug. “What happened” I asked. “Parkers sister got dragged under the fence to the building construction.” Blair said, “He’s still at the fence.” This time Tiff lead the way speeding through an endless wave of kids. She beat us by a mile and by the time we got there she had already started to calm Parker down. He was sitting down head in his knees with Tiffs arms around him. I couldn’t imagine losing someone as close to me as parker and his sister were. “So…” Blair started “where do we go next.” We sat in my year six class room discussing what is happening and what to do next. Blair checked the computers to see if they worked, but we were being very unluckily today. We still don’t know where the rest of the kids are hiding but we hoped they are safe. “Let’s collect food and make beds, I think there are more than enough pillows in the back to make 4, and the windows look broken.” Blair continued, “Let’s split into 2 groups, one can go to the tuckshop and see what left over food there is from yesterday, and the other can stay here to make the beds and succour the windows and door. I call staying here, with Joseph.” We all glanced at each other.
