Q1: What do you like drawing the most? cats. I don't know if you can tell, but cats. Q2: Preferred: digital or traditional art? Oh, that's a hard one. I'd have to say digital just because of the undo button and I get more even colors. Q3: What is your favorite tool for traditional art, and why? (eg. ballpoint pen, HB2 pencil, random crayon) Just a random pencil, usually the mechanical pencil I carry with me everywhere for no reason :) If I'm painting then I prefer watercolors and paint pens. Q4: Crayons, markers, or colored pencils, and why? Colored pencils. They're not as waxy as crayons and they don't bleed through normal paper like markers. Q5: How would you describe your style (semi-realism, anime-style, realism)? Um... I don't know... All I know is I hate doing realism so definitely not that. Q6: What are you the best at drawing? Cats. There's this one sword I can doodle pretty well though. Q7: Do you use the Scratch editor or another medium for art? Depends what device I'm using, really. Q8: How long does an average drawing take you? I procrastinate a lot, so way longer than it should. About a week, i'd say, but if I just sit down and grind it out then maybe an hour. Q9: Have you ever done a DTIYS, a DMC, or a DTA? I only know what two of those mean and I don't know if this question asks whether I've hosted one or entered. I've never hosted anything, but I've entered DTAs and DTIYS/ Q10: What do you draw the most of, and why? Probably people more recently because I'm working on learning how to draw them, but usually cats or other animals. Q11: What are the most difficult things for you to draw with people, and how do you get around them? Hands and facial features. I just kind of keep erasing and redrawing until I've got it to a place I like or am willing to leave it at. Q12: What artists have inspired you, and why? Oh, too many, but I'd have to say Moriah Elizabeth and Jaidenanimations on youtube, and @Daisy-Draws on Scratch. Q13: When would you say you learned to draw decently? I don't know, to be honest probably never. I think it's just an artist thing to never be happy with your art. Q14: Do you draw clothing folds? I rarely draw clothes at all so no. Q15: Do you take requests? Depends on what the request is. Q16: Do you get art block frequently? All the time. Q17: What is some advice you would give to a novice artist? It's gonna look ugly and you're gonna hate it, but keep working and it'll get to where you want it to be. Trust the process and it'll work out fine. Also, use hard shapes. If you want a squarish head on a cat, just draw a rectangle and hash it into a head shape you like, or if you want round paws, start with an oval and work it into paws. Q18: What artists would you consider on a similar level to yourself or higher (not counting those from Q12)? I could go on and on and on, but just a few are @Nightfallstar, @Skittlesthebunny, @Canarysong, @the-scruffy-pheonix, and more and more and more. There's too many. Q19: Do you like drawing girls or boys better? Girls. Idk, they're just easier for me. Q20: What is something that is hard to draw for you? If I would have done this last year I probably would have said people, but now I can sort of draw people, so I'll have to go with dogs. Q21: Do you like to do something while drawing (eg. sip tea, listen to music) I cannot focus on what I'm doing unless I'm sitting in the weirdest way possible listening to the Minecraft soundtrack. I usually just sit there and crouch on my chair. Q22: Do you use a stylus, mouse pointer, or your finger for digital art? My finger because it's the only thing I have. I usually draw on a kindle because it's really hard to draw with a mouse. Q23: Bitmap or vector? Vector. I just find it easier. Q24: How much of a role would you say colors play in a drawing? Depends what you're drawing, I think. If you're drawing a rainbow, then it just won't look the same if it's just a bunch of lines, so a rainbow needs color, but if you're just sketching, then color isn't that important. The rainbow thing applies to bigger projects too, if you're drawing some super nice scenery, it's not going to look the same if everything is just gray and white. Q25: How many art dumps have you shared? zero. I can't really, because most of my art that's already on scratch is either coming to scratch soon or is traditional, but I don't a camera with which to upload pictures of my traditional art, so none are in store, either. Q26: Do you like drawing text in your art, or typing it? Depends what I'm doing. If I'm drawing something for school I'll usually type it because I have terrible handwriting, but if I'm drawing something just for myself then I'll hand write it. (Continued in credits because I like very complete answers)
Q28: When was the last big change in your art style? Good question, and the answer is I don't know. My art style is not consistent at all. Q29: When did you start taking art seriously? About three years ago, so 2020. Q30: How good an artist would you consider yourself? I'm better than most of my irl friends, but worse than most of my online friends, so really I couldn't say. I'd say I'm really good with color theory, though.
