Instructions

Let's make it a bit more interesting! How many RECTANGLES are there on a chessboard? Remix this project with a script that calculates the answer correctly, and sets the variable "# of rectangles" to the answer. ℹ️ Note that most important thing is to CALCULATE it correctly. In other words, a project simply setting "# of rectangles" to the correct answer is disqualified. Bonus Challenges: ◾ Try to use as few blocks as possible ◾ Try to make the script as readable as possible ◾ Try to solve it in multiple ways Good luck!

Description

The solution for both challenges is here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/782774632/ Inspired by a quiz on the back of a Swedish milk box, and @Scratch-Minion's Code Golf Grid Challenges, which you can find in this studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25601101 The original problem was actually formulated as "how many quadrangles* are there on a chessboard". If they had been referring to the number of rectangles, it would be fine. But the solution written upside down in fine print below the problem, was that of the number of squares. Sloppy. * The Swedish word for quadrangle is more common and informal than the words for square and rectangle.
