Instructions

Ayo! A long time ago I made a game about finding a pickle in a Christmas Tree. To say the least, it wasn't very good, so I've decided to remake it. [ INSTRUCTIONS ] - Look for the pickle. Once you find it, click on it! - If you're having trouble, you can press space to skip after 5 seconds. - Find as many pickles as you can before time's up! The variables in the middle represent the following: [ TIME ] - Starts at 30 and decreases every second - Once it reaches zero, game over! - Don't worry, it doesn't decrease when decorating. [ SCORE ] - Every pickle increases this by 1 [ HIGH SCORE ] - The highest amount of pickles collected within the time limit - Try to beat it! That's it, have fun! - Fruity Code // @Forgetfulfruit Art // @Forgetfulfruit Music // DJ Cutman

Description

My family practices a very strange tradition; hiding a pickle in a Christmas Tree. The pickle ornament is put very last on the tree, and the first person to find it on Christmas morning gets an extra present. (My family doesn't follow this exactly, but that's beside the point). The tradition of hiding a pickle in a Christmas Tree has unknown origins. There are many stories, but none have been backed up with proof. Lots of people claim that the hiding pickle ornament was an old German tradition. However, many native German people have never even heard of it. Even then, pickle ornaments are sold in German shops. Another fabled origin is a story of a soldier in the American Civil War who was taken to a prison camp. On the brink of starvation, the soldier begged a guard for a pickle. The guard took pity on him and gave him a pickle, which allowed the soldier to live on and return to his family. Many other origin stories have been told, but who really knows where this strange tradition came from?
