They liquidated the assets formerly part of Commonwealth Energy Technologies, but retained personnel in an attempt to remain solvent, as they were swamped with lawsuits from the French Government, in cleanup and remediation, and civilians that survived the Toulon Disaster. Greenpeace and many other radical environmental groups took to the streets and used the Toulon Disaster to claim that nuclear technology in any form or shape was dangerous. Fusion energy- and nuclear energy in general's legacy was bloodstained, and it's reputation in tatters.
