Hello everyone and let me tell you a story of the Sun's Messenger, otherwise known as Aster. Aster didn't always have wings, or feathers, or horns, or a long tail like he does now, or even his name to be frank. Before he lived a sad life in a small zoo that was on the brink of bankruptcy. His cage was in the shade and hardly saw any sun. The wolf was only ever fed deli meat the zoo owners had bought. One day, strange people came to the zoo, not regular visitors, and were dressed in black suits with helmets and armor. They took many animals from their exhibits but the wolf fought. Yes, it was true he didn't very much like where he was living but he didn't know what these people might do to him. The people eventually knocked him out and the wolf was sent into a deep sleep. When the wolf awoke, he was in a white room with nothing but two silver holes in ground. Days passed until he was taken away once again. This time he wasn't put to sleep but was walked through empty halls to a room with intricate equipment and a silver table. There, the wolf was put to sleep and faded into an eternal sleep. When the wolf awoke once more, he was no longer just a wolf and no longer remembered the wolf. Instead he had feathery, large wings with a tail with feathers at the tip. Dull horns stood atop his head with a gradient to them. He was taken back to his room where he sat, motionless, for hours. One day during testing with plants, the alarms rang in the building, bouncing off the bare walls. A specimen escaped. The scientists who had been with him grabbed him and ran off. That's when the tall lizard like experiment ran into the same hall as them. One slash from Creed's claws killed the two scientists and the feathered wolf stood between the two corpses. Creed bent his large neck down and sniffed him and felt around with his antennas. Before Creed ran off, he let out an ear piercing roar and left. Somehow the feathered wolf knew what that meant: run. So that's what he did, he ran away from the lab and flew to the forest. That's when his power grew. Now when the wolf was put to sleep on the silver table, not only did different DNA's replace some of his but he was given a power to use. He was able to speak to and manipulate plants. The reason he was given this was to help the food shortage and farmers. When the feathered wolf entered the forest, the plants began to speak to him. He helped them grow and flourish. There was one flower though that spoke most clearly to him, the Orange Aster. That's when it gave him the name Aster. Aster now lives a calm and peaceful life in the forest, protecting the plants from any danger there may be. It has been reported that those who have come across Aster are to be "Saved" by him. It is lost hikers he helps but they have said that when he talks to you, it is not him that does but rather the plants. It is not known if this is some form of telepathy or how he simply communicates. Aster has been nicknamed the Sun Messenger as when he flies in the sky, he glows like the sun awaiting to bring a message. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whew, that has to be one of my longest backstories written on Scratch. I really liked this design and thought they would be neat for a new failed science experiment oc. Also if you didn't already know, Asters power is just like Leafspeak that some Leafwings have in the Wings of Fire series. I was actually able to get a good picture of the draw I did traditionally because I just honestly didn't have time for a digital drawing.
