To The Surface is an Undertale/Deltarune AU that I made a while back (2 1/2 years ago to be exact). For the people who don't know what Undertale is: Undertale is a 16-bit RPG made in 2015 by indie-game dev, Toby Fox. The game's premise is that you are a child who fell into a cave rumored to have swallowed the lives of other children who fell in. You fall into a world of monsters. Some want to harm you, some want to befriend you, some want to protect you. Deltarune is a bit more complicated to explain, though. Most likely because it's not finished yet, but this is the best summary I can give, so don't come for me if I get the lore wrong. So you take control of this kid (Their name is Kris), and you take Kris' classmates to different 'dark fountains' which are just worlds made out of rooms (like a closet or a computer lab). You have choices of what you can do, which can either give you cute, funny moments or can give Kris' classmates some real trauma. I don't feel like explaining what I mean by that in great detail. Now, for the actual AU: To The Surface. The story starts where Undertale (The Pacifist Route) ends, with everyone on the surface, ready to start a new life and make peace with the humans. Frisk arranges a plan where the monsters disguise themselves as humans. Little does everyone know, another plan went behind the scenes. Another dead child, Emily (her real name is Amber), had a plan to get revenge on the ones who left her behind. That's the main story. There are a couple of side plots like how the Darkners that help her become relevant to the main plot. But that's too much to explain now. After trying to work out the plot for about a year, I decided to turn this messy pile of cliches into a Musical!
