so i use eyes a lot in animations and um ITS NOT JUST TO BE EDGY I SWEAR!!! theres lore trust me so theres 2 gods named dark and light (these r still like placeholder names i need to think of new ones sdfakjl;a;dls) but they are. red and yellow!! the yellow is supposed to be more of a gold actually but its also pastel to fit with the white and not look super ugly so it looks more yellow now but whatever. anywaysssysyyss so the gods can "possess" people... sort of? sometimes they don't fully possess people. this parts gonna be pretty confusing so bare with me so sometimes the gods do just FULLY possess people, and theyre eyes turn red if its dark and yellow if its light. but ALSO sometimes the gods can just appear as like some sort of hallucination?? this mostly happens with dark but light can do it to probably but different yeah so dark can almost act as this sort of parasite (but not physically?) and if they do that they can appear and only the person theyre like latching on to or whatever can see them. usually they do this just to taunt people or convince them to do... bad things. basically just anger people or upset them because dark feeds off of negative emotions cuz theyre emo n stuff like can do different stuff!!! kinda. instead of actually appearing as a visual thing they just talk. now when EITHER of these things happen, sometimes i represent it with like. some floating eye. just an eye yeah. and its either red or yellow depending on who it is yeah yeah. BUT sometimes i do do the other thing where i actually draw dark and hes like. actually there or whatever. OK OK so back to the eye pupil color possession thing!! if the thing i just talked about before happens, sometimes ill also make a characters eyes red or yellow?? this part is REALLY complicated so sorry about that. but when their (the human characters) PUPILS turn a different color its not as if dark or like are LITERALLY talking to them, its like theyre planting ideas in someones head? i don't REALLY know how to explain it but its like theyre talking to someone. metaphorically. yeah. SOMETIMES (this is mostly with dark but it can be with light too) their pupils turn yellow/red/yeahyeahyeah if one of the gods are just like. i don't know the exact word i forgot but like making an emotion someone is feeling more extreme. like someone is angry then dark makes them like moree angry yk ALSO!! sometimes i just draw eyes to symbolize like being watched but it can also be pretty literal at times also??? yeah. also sometimes i draw eyes in a filler project and its just cuz i think theyre cool and its like a very important part of the story so like. idk. sdfkjl;dfsgkjhgkjggsdsdfkl wooo sorry if this doesnt make sense like at ALL but yeah. also light feeds of ~positive emotions~ idk
