[ read instructions first ] ginger rushed forward and shelter them with her wings. the white-ish scales lining them were melting and dripping in the heat. ginger winced— it was just like frosting. she rushed her friend out of the room, and tried to navigate back to the entrance, stumbling and knocking into burning walls. the pain was unbearable, but ginger continued, coughing up ash. *as long as I can keep frost safe, I’m fine,* she managed to think. she and frost stumbled out of the burning building. ginger felt the feeling that was boosting her to keep moving through the fire ebbing. she collapsed. frost looked into her friends eyes, visibly worried. “frost, I…” ginger didn’t know what to say. she was blackened and burned, crumbling where the fire got her the worst. “I’m not an actual dragon, am I?” frost’s eyes filled with tears. ginger didn’t know if she was crying— her vision was blurring and she found it hard to focus on her friends face. “you are to me,” frost managed, sobbing. ginger nodded. that was enough for her. she closed her eyes, and the sounds of crying, flapping of wings and distressed calls faded. and she melted into the comfortable feeling of toasty fire. - - - art should be coming soon :)) I absolutely love Ginger’s design <33 I’m also going to make an animation that will be much better at showing the story ( is it cold outside? ) but idk if I’ll be able to get it in in time ^^” if I do get the design, I’ll definitely use her for dragon-drawing practice. I’ll also post the is it cold outside animation if I don’t get to it as a dtae :D ( I know you’re probably tired of hearing the ending song but it fits the vibe :> ) time taken :: TOO MUCH.
