Rating wof ships…this’ll be interesting. Im rating the ships in the instructions and not in the project, just a heads up. First ship… Clay x Peril 6.5/10 Ok hear me out, I feel like this ship is fine, but also has some major problems. Clay is confusing and dull about his feelings toward Peril, and you can never really tell if he actually likes her or not. I’m assuming he does, there is nothing proving he doesn’t like her, but still, he needs to be more straight-forward if he wants the relationship to go anywhere. Its not only Clay, Peril also has a seriously big problem. She (multiple times) threatens to physically hurt people if they touch or hurt Clay. This is the literal definition of a yandere. Its not only toxic, but just plain disturbing. If Peril were to chill out and Clay were to be more straight-forward then this ship could be really good! (I am aware Peril is trying to change and I appreciate that. But it still needs work) Riptide x Tsunami 5/10 Nothing seriously toxic or bad about this (thank goodness) but Riptide is a very characterless person. He doesn’t really have a lot of personality and Tsunami and him didn’t really have a lot of interaction before falling in love. As someone who doesn’t believe in love at first sight I don’t know how I really feel about this—(this isn’t only Ripnami that has this problem, multiple other times this happens, and I don’t think its even mentally possible for this to happen in such a short time??) I don’t really know how romance works in the brain and I honestly have no interest in learning about it. Romance is overrated, who’s with me??? But seriously Ripnami is a fine ship, just give Riptide more personality and it would be great! Glory x Deathbringer (Not rating it) I really didn’t know if I wanted to do this one…but im going to take the risk. This is honestly a pretty unpopular opinion and Its one of the many unpopular opinions I have. No starting fights in the comments, I can and will get rid of any comments that say anything rude. Ok so first off, I’m not even gonna talk about the age difference, I understand it was a mistake, and I am learning to be okay with it since I know its not purposely in there. So Tui, be more careful with your ages. But besides the age difference, its really mainly Deathbringer. His personality can be seen as toxic in many ways. He treats Glory like she cant look after herself, which some people think is romantic and I can tell you…ITS NOT. This is a HUGE red flag in a relationship and its bad. And i’m just gonna say it, Deathbringer is annoying. The flirtatious personality that he has gets old and just…bad. Multiple characters have this personality trait and their love interest fall in love with them for it, which I do not understand. People need to realize if someone is annoyed by you flirting with them, just STOP. Its not only deathbringer though, Glory has her flaws as well. Glory, no matter how many times she says she doesn’t need Deathbringer to protect her (which she actually doesn’t) doesn’t actually do anything about it. Does she not care? This is concerning on many levels. Im not gonna say anymore but yeah. Starflight x Sunny 7/10 Personally I think this ship is great! But I am very glad they didn’t actually end up together. Not every character needs a love interest and I’m happy theres at least ONE character who doesn’t have one. Besides I think it would’ve ruined the whole connection between the DoD. If two of them started dating it would break the sibling bond they all had, which would be sad. Its a very cute ship though! Starflight x Fatespeaker 9/10 This ship is good! They have actual good chemistry together, they worked together and grew an emotional bond, they spent time together, and they are loyal to each other! Finally a relationship that only has one flaw! And that flaw is…fatespeaker. I feel like fatespeaker is a good character, but is basically a copy of sunny. If Tui gave Fatespeaker more of her own unique personality this ship would be a 10/10 Moon x Qibli 5.5/10 Sure, I mean the ship is fine! (Definitely better than Winterwatcher-) they are a great couple but honestly I think that the whole love triangle thing sucks. I’ve never liked love triangles but honestly this is just bad. All of the characters do so much better on their own, without anyone. I would’ve been perfectly happy if all three of them decided to go their own ways and just be their own characters. Its fine though, Qibli and Moon are a fine couple! They care for each other and are a great match! Just I feel like their true personalities that we all know and love fade when they think about each other… Winter x Moon 2/10 Besides the occasional “oh this scene between them was cute”, this ship is absolutely toxic. Winter lashes out at her multiple times, he’s rude, and really cares more about himself. I think Winter has changed for the better, which is good. But still.
Turtle x Kinkajou 2/10 I…just…I don’t like the thought of Turtle…the beautiful…the precious…the amazing…with someone. Though this ship is cute, the problem I have with this is the fact that Turtle showed no feelings for Kinkajou before Talons of Power. They weren’t even close? And all of a sudden Anemone’s like: “oH yOu LiKe HeR???” And even then Turtle is kinda like…ehhhh and then anemone becomes a shipping maniac. I don’t really know if I would consider these feelings real or not. Then again, what do I know about love? Anemone x Tamarin 3/10 Honestly neither of them really has a bond at all. Maybe if Tui were to make them actually spend time together and act like a ship? Eh. Blue x Cricket 10/10 Wholesome. Beautiful. Its blue. And its cricket. Amazing. Though I shamefully admit I have gotten annoyed at Blue’s personality before for how dependent he is on others sometimes, I still love their dynamic! They took it slow (unlike SOME ships) they expressed their feelings, and they were REAL and sincere, and the ship isn’t toxic or overly complicated, plus their personalities are both great! Sure they both their flaws, but everyone does. Even Qibli. Yes…even Qibli. Willow x Sundew 8/10 Actually a really good ship! I’m not gonna mention anything people are gonna get mad at me for, but honestly the ship is great, maybe give Willow some more personality? The ship has great dynamic and yeah- Luna x Swordtail 8/10 Besides Swordtail’s weird and bad character development throughout the 3rd arc, this ship is actually really good! They love each other a lot and I think that really makes them good for each other! They’re loyal, they are still good characters even while being with each other, and yea! Great ship :D
