Somehow, you s0bered me up. That. . . hasn’t happened in a while. You must have some magic.” R: She shrugged. “I’m good at running moods, what can I say?" ~ R: She allowed her hoodie back over her shoulder, a hint of a smile on her face. A genuine one. "What's nice?" J: "Uh, you are. I mean-- you look nice." he said, then chuckled. That was pathetic. R: She raised her eyebrows, a slight tinge of color coming to her cheeks. "Well. Thank you? I think?" ~ R: She grinned. “I’m not just all talk, I earned the title of legend for a reason. I’m willing to help in any way you need. Just tell me what to do.” ~ J: He chuckled. "I worded that wrong. I told you I'm not smart when I'm s0ber." R: She turned her bright blue gaze to the ground for a moment, a small grin coming to her face. “If I’m being honest, I like that.” Rei looked back up at him, and then, without a second thought, she took his face in her hands and pressed her l1ps to his, closing her eyes. ~ J: He stepped a bit closer to her. "Thank you," he said. "No one's ever really supported me. . . or-- well I don't remember having any friends. Thank you." J: “Why won’t you let me be nice to you?” R: “I don’t need kindness.” She shrugged. “I’m fine as is.” J: "Rei, that's /exactly/ why you need kindness, the fact that you're declining it." ~ R: She was watching the view from the window until she lurched forward, placing her hands over his on the steering wheel. “Too slow. Atmosphere.” She muttered in explanation for her sudden movement. She pulled the ship downward, just a bit faster. Then, after She was satisfied with the descent, she suddenly became hyper aware of the physical context and flushed, dropping her hands back to her sides and taking a step back. “You’re- You’re good now.” ~ R: “Just, uh. You know. Physical contact and stuff.” She shrugged, attempting lightness and failing. “I’m good.” J: "Ah, yes," he said, putting his hand on her w@ist. "I understand." R: She flushed more, her cheeks gaining a defined pink. “…do you? I’m not sure you do.” J: Jorgen laughed. "Perhaps not to an extent." ~ J: Yeah," he agreed, his mind sort of not listening. He stopped walking. "Rei, I just want you to know that you don't have to hold anything back from me, okay?" R: She paused as well, biting her lip for a moment. He... he didn't understand. She couldn't tell him everything. He'd never look at her the same again if she did. "I know." She replied (emphasis on lied). J: She didn't stop walking, so instead and walked after her and grabbed her shoulders, making her face him. "What?" R: "I said I know." Her tone was... unsure, but she kept her expression neutral. No way she was telling the truth. J: "Rei," he said, still holding her shoulders. "Please. I knwo you're keeping something." R: “I’m-I’m not.” She weakly insisted. She wasn’t really that convincing, it seemed. “It’s fine. We have things to do.” ~ J: "I suppose," he said. "Honestly, I don't think I'd like being a shapeshifter.
