((ADDING MORE SOON!!!)) You can make up a bit of your own lore, just uh... don't go too far from these~ + Species/Species Explanation + Humans- Humans… are humans. Period. That’s it. Just… humans. Vampires- Vampires are undead creatures, saved right before death by being bitten by another. There is no other way to create a vampire~ they must already be dying of natural cause. They remain the age they died at eternally. (Elaborations later). The Maidensmark family is basically the royal family~ along with most famous and well-known in the vampiric community, though, there are many others within the town of Salem. Vampires travel a lot, and, the Maidensmark family, along with a few others, are the only ones who’ve kept a stable home for more than a year. Basic Vampires drink blood for energy, to keep themselves young and preserved, and just because they’ve become addicted to it. They extract such with sharp, retractable fangs. They also have inhuman speed, strength, smell, and hearing. The length and sharpness vary on their families strength and rank in nobility. Only the Noble family's has “powers”~ these are often related to their senses in some way~ and /may/ be blood magic as well. They also do not sleep, and, cannot reproduce after being turned. Werewolves- Werewolves do not actually turn into wolves completely, but they do sprout fur, along with sharper canines, glowing eyes, sharpened ears, and a slightly wolfish form~ often getting a sort of arched back in transformation, and the hind legs of a wolf. Think Remus Lupin from Harry Potter. Werewolves transform whenever they’re extremely angry, and, on a Full Moon they have a harder time controlling this anger. Their abilities include fast movement, natural invoking of terror, and, in human form, are incredibly skilled in hand-to-hand combat because of their werewolf practice. As humans, they look completely normal, May I add. They have no social structures, and, usually travel either alone or with a m@te. If they have some as wolves, children are born as pups, and gain the ability to turn human as toddlers. A human can turn into a wolf by being scratched, and leaving the wound untreated for too long. They have regular lifespans, and, are not immortal. Angels- Angels don’t have wings, like in the myths. To fit into a human world, they are cut off at birth. Angels can, however, pass into human dreams. In dreams, they posses their wings~ as if they’d never been cut off. It is impossible for an Angel to be born impure, so, there is no such thing as a fallen Angel either. Every Angel has a white blotch somewhere on their body, resembling their family crest. To Angels, pride in their house is everything. The sons often take up the fathers job, which, in Salem, is to protect as many humans as they can from the monsters~ even if it comes to literally fighting them, the urge to protect mankind is too strong. The females, however, don’t inherit dreamwalking, and often lead normal lives to help keep their families concealed. Angels, no matter the gender, are born with a special weapon attached to them (yes, it grows with the birth-chord thing, don’t ask)~ one that bonds to them as they grow older. Angels aren’t immortal and can die, but, ten years for a human is one for them. They usually live up to 800 years before death. Witches- Witches are humans who partake in the dark arts. Their magic centers around one of the four “spirits”: Fire, Soul, Nature, and Flesh. A witch of Flesh can manipulate physical life~ for example, transformation spells of living things. Ex: A man into a cat. A witch of Soul can manipulate mental things. Usually, they’re ground driving others (and theirselves) insane. Soul is the Species codeword! Witches of Fire manipulate… well… Fire, and Witches of Nature bend plant life to their will (not animals, that’s a Flesh witch thing~). They usually are c@nn@b@listic, and have sharp claws to assist them. Their teeth are usually slightly crooked, no matter how attractive they come to be, and their skin is either unnaturally light or unnaturally dark. Their lives are prolonged, due to dark magic use, though, the longer they use it, the more inhuman and nasty they begin to appear. The especially old ones begin to rot at around 500 years.
Hybrids are allowed! Just not any of the following- -Werewolf/Vampire (Seriously, guys? Overused xD) -NO VAMPIRE HYBRIDS. A vampire is made in this RP, not born. -Angel/ Witch, Vampire, or Werewolf (Guys. It’s in Angel’s blood to absolutely despise all of them~ They can d@t3, /maybe/, but they'd probably accidentally k!ll one another if they tried to have children~) Hybrids that ARE allowed- -Human/ Werewolf, Witch, Angel (Human with anything but Vampire, really) -Werewolf/Witch (No op!)
