backstory: one day, in a factory far, far away.. there was a factory in italy, selling gum. gumbo was a regular stick of gum. the factory was against safety precautions, but nobody seamed to care. one day- (the day that gumbo was being born), there was a chemical reaction. unfortunately for him, he got caught in the explosion. this resulted in a walking-talking-sentient piece of gum. the chemicals washed away his wrapper and also gave him the power to think. he was walking down the road, and everybody started freaking out. i mean, they just saw an explosion, and now there is a literal piece of walking, talking GUM on the ground. eventually, some kids tried to STEP on poor lil confused gummy. now, he was stuck to the ground! it felt like weeks had passed since he was stuck. rain didn't work, and the sun made it harder to get up. he was just sitting there, sobbing. "i didn't even do anything!" he would say. eventually the weather changed into snow, and it set him free. he was now permanantly happy. no sad thoughts, just gum. now you may be thinking; "well, thats just dumb! why is he happy if he just got stepped o-" well, dear friend, it is because he is free. he always looks for the best in life. the positive.
