⤐ welcome to my second map) ignore the nasty thumbnail, i can only put .jpgs for some reason this one will be centered around mapleshade and her story. as usual, script is inside the project, rules and other info are in the instructions. if you plan on entering, please take the time to read them cuz theres some pretty important stuff there. »»————- RULES : ⇢ for now i'll be limiting it to 1 part per person, might increase this depending on the map popularity. ⇢ probably only gonna accept experienced animators + artists for this project, as some parts are gonna be pretty tricky to do. ⇢ please include no more than 3 sprites in your project and use cloning very sparingly (its very glitchy) ⇢ stick to the script as much as possible »»————- ART DIRECTION : ⇢ the references for the characters and backgrounds are inside, but if you need any additional material to work with either ask or use your own references/designs for one-part characters like ravenwing, perchpaw and oakstar. same goes for any bg characters. ⇢ the map parts should be pmv with limited movement such as lipsyncing in certain parts (check in script). try not to use any tweening in your part, but if you feel like it would work better just message me and ask. ⇢ try to give your part that crunchy 90s anime feel - thick lines + slight noise in the background. use the original animatic for this song (first result that appears when you search chi no squi on youtube) by vivinos as reference. ⇢ for the dark forest scenes, add a red glow (see thumbnail) around mapleshade to make her stand out from her surroundings. ⇢ lighting + shading is very important for this map, so when providing links to your work try to include some of that. ⇢ no need to include the subtitles in your part, ill add them myself when editing it together. ⇢ there's a lot of red, so try to stay on the warmer side of the colour spectrum (river scenes obviously an exception ⇢ basically try to get your part to have the vibe of the thumbnail. side note: i used google translate when making the subtitles and then took some creative liberties with them. im really sorry to any japanese people who had to watch me absolutely butcher this song.
