Chapter three part 2!!!! Enjoy! No remixing.
One week later… Haper was going to leave for New York the next day and she went up the stairs to say good night to Megan. “Hi Haper, you’re leaving tomorrow, right?” “Yes I am.” “What did that song mean the one you sang to me in your language?” “It has many meanings but for my Far I believe he was talking about his mor. He never really fit in at Asgard, I guess he knew he was different. Yet, he still longed for the beautiful place called home.” Megan looked at her and then smiled do you know the word in English?” Haper nodded, “Yes.” She began to sing one more, But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" When she sings, she sings "come home" But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" When she sings, she sings "come home" When she sings, she sings "come home" When she sings, she sings "come home" Shh In stormy black mountains I walk alone I cross the glacier In the apple orchard the maiden stands the vein And sings, "When are you coming home?" But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" But the trees dance and the waterfalls stop When she sings, she sings "come home" When she sings, she sings "come home" Megan was fast asleep, and Haper walked silently out of the room. Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the battle of her life and possibly something more. Nevertheless, dark times lays ahead the world was in danger, from a man with nothing but a chunk of ice for a heart. The next morning Pepper took her to New York and helped her get an apartment. Haper knew everything she needed to know about to apply for a job, the begging. When Haper got to her apartment she created a bed and covers, and some of the items that were important to Midgard homes. She looked at the watch that Pepper had given her before she left, she had a job interview in two hours. When she was much younger and learning the many trades, fighting styles, and languages, she learned how to make extremely beautiful, deadly, and strong weapons. She was planning to be a swordsmith, she hoped that the papers would be convincing enough. She got the job. The woman who interviewed her hired her quickly. She was excited about Haper’s accent and the style of the blades she had made. Haper’s name while she was on Midgard was Harper Narum, just so that if her brother had some of his allies already here. The next day at work was a slow day, so for the most part they talked and shared some about themselves. The women who owned the place introduced herself and Haper’s co-worker. “My name is Lenzie Nabbi I opened this business two years ago. My best friend Carter Vulcan has been working for me ever since, so she is assistant manager.” Haper blinked but nodded, Midgardians have mixed up priorities. They showed Haper her workspace and supplies the metal was weaker than what she was used to. Never the less, her work brought in several more customers than normal. Over the next week, she learned all the corners of New York city. Nobody saw her except the Midgard dirt she left outside of Midgard’s police offices. As far as she found out, the police assumed the men raving about an extremely tall blue woman were drunk or had encountered a mean hit to the head. To tell the truth, most of them had gotten just that, but they were not crazy. She left a mark that looked like a Midgard arrow pointing straight up. It stood for victory that was an old Norse rune. She sensed that it would not stay that way. Someone would find out of course. It scared her, she couldn’t help but feel that her surviving was a mistake, she was not afraid of dying or of not reaching Valhalla. She was afraid of losing herself to the stone when it brought her back. She could feel a darkness clawing at her and she had killed a man the night before. He had managed to kill her again, but she came back faster this time, the darkness took over and the man fell to ashes. She was a monster and it worried her that her brother would soon not be Midgard’s downfall...she would.
